As a freelancer you don't easily think about saving, yet it would be wise to build up a buffer. When you work for your own account and risk, there are situations where it is useful and sensible to have an amount that is immediately available. Think of continued payment in case of illness when your washing machine unexpectedly breaks down. Here we explain why and how you can easily save.

Surprises always come unexpectedly...

It's nice that, if something happens, you have something in reserve for the short term, like that laptop that breaks down, but you can also save up for a dream holiday, for example. By setting aside a certain amount of money for each period, you are well prepared if things are going well or not going well.

How does it work?

At Freelanceverloning.nl all your taxes are managed, so the percentage you save is net. You don't have to pay any more tax on this, and you'll receive it as soon as it's convenient for you. For example, you can reserve 8 percent holiday pay and 10 percent holiday days for each salary, but you can also flexibly save up to 20 percent. In total it is possible to reserve 38 percent of your net salary. This money will, of course, remain yours. We pay out reservations within one working day and you can change your preferences at any time. It's that easy.
